Employment offices must be able to deal properly with felon job-seekers’ needs and make full use of the opportunities, which effective active labour market programmes provide. Employers expect to cut job offers to college graduates by 22% this year — the first down year since 2003, reports the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Instead of dictating terms in a sellers’ market, 2009 grads must learn to compete.
EMPLOYMENT is KEY to the success of a felon, as is a decent and safe place to live. Felons are still brothers/sisters, mothers/fathers, aunts/uncles…you get the picture. Employers have a responsibilty to hire the best available applicant. Anytime more than one person wants the same thing, they must compete for it.
